We are approaching the time when people are starting to formulate ideas to better themselves in 2013. And for many that means devising a plan on how to lose weight. Well, I want to share a super brief article from one of my health mentors, Dr. Chet Zelasko, that covers a very simple strategy for weight loss success:
Giada De Laurentiis (pictured above) seems to be everywhere these days; she’s progressed from hosting a Food Network show on Italian cooking to being a media darling. Besides an amazing array of brilliant white teeth, she has been able to maintain a very petite figure. In a recent magazine article, an interviewer asked her what everyone asks her: how do you stay so slim despite eating all that great food, including the carbohydrate-rich pasta? Her answer: “I eat a little bit of everything and not a lot of anything.”
Giada went on to say, “Pasta doesn’t make you fat. How much pasta you eat makes you fat..”
In today’s society, everyone is looking for that magic food or exercise or supplement that will help him or her finally lose weight. There are thousands of diet books that exploit the search for magic. While I think there are some fundamentals, there’s no magic. Eat less. That’s it.
Thank you Dr. Chet and Giada for sharing how to lose weight the simple way. We tend to make things so complex and cumbersome. Remember, winning and wisdom is born out of simplicity.

I agree ; if you’re not ready to commit to a complete lifestyle change , then losing weight becomes even harder 🙂
Absolutely. That’s why people shouldn’t overload and overwhelm themselves with the process. Fundamentals will always win championships no matter what game we’re playing. Have a blessed day, sir!
